  ACCESS MSU (High School Concurrent)

ACCESS MSU allows the opportunity for high school students to experience a college environment. ACCESS MSU means access to classes, transferable college credits, computer labs, campus bookstore, library, Wellness Center, athletic events, student events, music events, theatre events, Artist Lecture presentations, dining facilities, the Clark Student Center Game Room and the Campus Card System.  In other words, ACCESS MSU allows an opportunity to experience a college environment in almost every way possible and potentially at a greatly reduced cost.  ACCESS MSU students may be eligible to receive a partial tuition scholarship that is based upon an unconditional admission status to the program.

ACCESS MSU is intended for high school students interested in the challenge of college level coursework. Students may be able to use the credit earned toward high school graduation requirements as well as for college credit. Classes commonly taken by ACCESS MSU students include:

                                       English                          Sociology

MSU is interested in expanding opportunities for all students.  If your school is not listed here, please have your high school principal or counselor contact MSU Admissions at (940) 397-4334.

ACCESS MSU students are required to maintain good academic standing with the university and their high school.  Students should be aware that taking college classes concurrently while in high school results in the establishment of a collegiate academic record and students earn a college grade point average.  Students applying to other colleges/universities after graduation from high school must report college work attempted, hours earned, and grade point average.  Students must submit an official MSU transcript to any institution where admission is sought.  It is of the utmost importance to your academic future that you do your best in all college classes.

Students should consult with their high school counselor, provide an official high school transcript, request official scores be sent to MSU by ACT or the College Board (SAT), and meet the Texas Success Initiative.  Please note, MSU requires the writing portion of the ACT/SAT.  Students will be required to take their courses on the MSU campus during the day or evening and will not be allowed to enroll in any distance or internet classes. A special admissions application is required for ACCESS MSU. Please do not submit the online (ApplyTexas) application for ACCESS MSU consideration.  All inquiries about ACCESS MSU should be addressed to:
